Something for the weekend
Can you spot the real jack and the evil twin. Needless to say they aren't very good friends. A neighbor lady mentioned she counted 23 rotties in the hood. I saw a roti puppy this week too. i didnt have my camera
Some lovely October skies for your viewing pleasure.
A pretty halo around the sun.
Taking Jack to the beach before a mayan astrology class. This is Zandvoort beach. I guess I have been busy with my eyes on the skies these days. go figure.

Attempting Amsterdam, Better Belgium
Hi jerry, I attempted amsterdam saturday afternoon with alex. Needless to say it didnt go over that well, with him or me, for different reasons. Still I thought you might like to see Tjins is still busy as ever, as is our little cafe. I walked past it a half hour before and couldnt find a place to sit so we had to have a cup of joe on the corner. Krull, the place we never sat at but always wondered. Wonder no more, it was dirty and clueless.
Some paper out there just named Amsterdam the hippest city?! (it was either the ny times or de telegraph) tee hee
The weather is still warm enough for ijs! that says a lot here. Usually they are packed up and headed south by now. Again I thought you might like to know that scarves are alive and well in Holland, even in warm weather.
The Frood. Fruit is food too! I guess thats a new discovery...
So why not try our luck in Belgium. This is the following day. brilliant weather and the city was open. Antwerp proved to be a lovely day out. However we werent the only ones out and every seat on a terrace was taken. Nevertheless, facilities were needed so we decided to stop into this lovely gem. It was tiny but cool. we drank a Rodenbach, yummyo, and headed out into the sunlight.
I dont know what happened in this city but the statue is holding up a severed hand! Openly brutal, the Belgians.
Luckily the Virgin Mary is around just about every corner. Now I know why!

A watery weekend
hi nic! On saturday we took the motor bike to volendam. loads of sailboats but this one was one of the larger ones. it was an outstanding weather day. 25 degrees, a nice breeze, the humidity was high but it was so comfortable here next to the ijselmeer.
We picked up this little number while we were there, but thought in the end it was a bit too small for us.
Funny enough we were invited out on Sunday unexpectedly for a little trip on the water in Aalsmeer. This was the main passenger. What a poser.
Iris is expecting twins in a few months! lots of children being born these days, they are coming in pairs even! Something wonderful is about to happen!
Chris the captain and our good friend Douwe. He is the owner of Banjer, Jacks favorite lady dog friend, although as she gets older she has less patience for him. Go figure...

Tall Ship Races
Den Helder is having the Tall Ship races. These are the small ones.
We didn't stay for the races, but we did stop off to have a peruse. The dutch marine base is also located in Den Helder.
Jack came along. He was very happy to be included in the days events. He was also really well behaved between all the people and various nasty jack russells.
Today I had to stop at the WKT to do a small art project for a friend of mine. They invited me for brood en beleg. That is Inge on the phone, Andrea across the table and Inge's assistant.
