These lilies were bought along the side of the road near wijk aan zee. Three euries plunked into a small tin can attached to a cart filled with big bouquets of the healthiest most fragrant flowers. They are a week old and they have just bloomed. White Lilies mean purity and luck.

The white lily is also the flower of St. Anthony. I think he holds one in his hand and the baby Jeebus, or maybe that's Joseph... I don't know. One of those saint guys has a white lily as his flower.
