Real Strawberry flavor

"Sweet strawberries with flavor" It is a sad day when supermarkets have to advertise that a strawberry is sweet and actually tastes like it should.

I bought some earlier in the week and indeed the tips were very sweet. These seemed to need to ripen a bit more. I pray for a day when strawberries lose a bit of size and gain much more flavor. Come on 2012!

After shopping for wax fruit Jack and I played ball. I have to throw the ball high because if he stops to short he hurts himself. This often results in a few blows to the head however. He's manic!

A happy Jack coming back for more.

Ready for the next round. He tries to toss it back to me. He is great fun, I am privileged to have him in my life.

Stone Du Jour

This is my beautiful tanzanite stone. It belongs to the zoisite family but the lavendar blue color, which is heat amended, makes it different.
It has a high vibration, bringing one into a deep meditative stat and raises consciousness. It dissolves old patterns and creates space for new better patterns. I love this stone, the color is amazing, the photo doesn't do it justice.

It's beginning to look a lot like Easter

It is the coldest Easter in Holland since 1964.

The last few days there was wind, snow, hail, rain, sleet, thunder and sun

Good thing these flowers are strong enough to handle this wonderful spring weather.

A bit of cabin fever, Rekel and sneezer having a brotherly fight.

Muppet

This is the great face I get to wake up to just about every morning.

He is actually wedged in the space between the two beds. He slept like that for most of the morning. I think he made himself a little hammock.

Catch up

Since my last entry I had lunch with friends. This is Kayla. She thought this was the biggest crisp she had ever seen.
Who doesn't love a good argyle sweater?
This is Kayla's mother, Jenny. They both came into Haarlem from Delft for the day. We lunched and kayla got a pair of very silvery shiney shoes. I forgot to blog them. sorry.
It wasn't the best weather for an outing and when she dropped me off it turned really cold and began to snow.
Sneezer meditating in the sun.
I spent many days preparing a few new canvases and began the underpainting.

I headed out to the art store to pick up a new brush or two for my new canvases. Along the way was an "antiek winkel". I guess you could call the Spice Girls antiques. Thats the three big headed dolls to the upper left of Mary the mother of Jesus.
Sunday I was escorted to the British Classic Cars and Life Style Beurs. This beauty was in the parking lot.
but this one is more my size
I received birthday greetings and my fav Salt and Vinegar Crisps all the way from Australia. Thanks Nic and Vance! the card was lovely as well.
On the same day I received birthday greetings from Ian in the midlands of England. He sent me a smokey quartz crystal to add to my growing collection.
I spent today in my atelier working and listening to Theatre of the Mind podcasts. While on a quick break I saw this funny sticker. When will those silly squirrels learn to park their horses properly.
